Using Windows password for logon

Hi

Is there any way to setup a solution, where you can use Windows username/password for logging into the Neptune apps, instead of using the SAP username/password? (Still want the 4 digit key as the main rule).

Reason is that most our users use SSO on their desktop. To introduce another SAP password, will probably cause quite some confusion. I know that we normally use the 4 digit key to log in, but then every 180 days Neptune will ask the user to change password, even if they do not use password normally.

Hi Stian

Have you setup SSO in your SAP environment today ? Probably using SAP Enterprise Portal ?

If you have, you can use SAP Enterprise Portal as the autentication provide and use your existing Windows username/password and logon to Neptune Apps.

In Neptune Application Management in the Bundle App - Authentication, you can select SAP Enterprise Portal.

Hi

We have a normal SSO setup at the moment for SAP GUI, and is currently setting up SAML2 for SSO to NWBC applications. Unfortunately we do not use SAP Enterprise Portal.

Hi Stian

When you have SAML2 setup ready for your NWBC applications we can assist building a logon routine to SAML2.

You can also run neptune apps within NWBC :-)
