Safe "TablePersonalization" settings

Hi,

is it possible to safe the settings in the TablePersonalization for the user-session?

While switching applications the settings should be stored.

Thanks & Regards

Franziska

Hi Franzizka,

Yes, it is possible.  Please check the following link:

Thanks and regards,

Julian

Hi Julian,

the table has the attribute: "setEnableCache = true".
If I switch back to the role based menu and open the application again, the settings won't still be set.

Regards
Franziska

Hi Franzizka,

the upcoming release of Neptune will keep the state of each open app automatically.  So when you navigate back to the role based menu, open a new app, and then switch back to the original app, everything will look exactly the same as how you left it.

In a few days you will be able to test it yourself on our website.  Please stay tuned to our news and announcements section. :)

Thanks and regards,

Julian

Hi,

in Neptune 4.0 there is no longer attribute setEnableCache so users loose the personalization settings are lost when user closes the browser.

Is there any other way than writing own code to save the settings?

Br, Juha

Hi Juha,

setEnableCache for Table personalization will be back on 4.0 SP01 version of Neptune.
Meanwhile, you can include the attached code in your app to make it work.
Please remember to replace NAME_OF_YOUR_APP with the name of your app.

Kind regards,
Julian

Hi Julian,

well that's good to know. When do you think 4.0 SP01 will be released?

Br, Juha

Hi Juha, We have not decided the release date yet, but I think it will not be before the end of Q2. Kind regards, Julián

Hi Julian,

we are not using AppCache so unfortunately we can't use the code you provided. Is there any other way, or should we wait for the SP01?

Br, Juha

Hi Juha, When you say you are not using Appcache, do you mean you are running the app in standalone mode? Appcache is still there, the provided code has to work. Thanks, Julian

Hi Julian, we got it working! We just had a typo in our code. So thanks!

One question: if we have two tables inside same application, is it possible to use this for both of them?

Br, Juha

Great! you are welcome.

If you have 2 tables, you will need to put this code two times, and change the names of the objects and models.

Kind regards,

Julian
