Does every user logging to an application designed with Neptune Application designer require a user login? If we are developing an application that displays say shipment information and provide the application to carriers to update the proof of delivery and such details, do the users have to have SAP login or can we use a generic login and still get the user details?
The question is how to be compliant with SAP Licensing. This is an agreement between SAP and the Customer. All access to SAP data will require licensed user access. The licensed SAP user and price - correspond to the task they perform in SAP. This will be regulated in the contract between SAP and the Customer.
SAP also have different licensing models that can be used, f.eks transaction based licensing in a B2C scenario.
