Buttons are coded with standard HTML anchor and input elements, then enhanced by jQuery Mobile to make them more attractive and useable on a mobile device. Use Links to mark up navigation buttons, and input or button elements for form submission.

Styling links as buttons

In the main content block of a page, you can style any anchor link as a button by adding the data-role=”button” attribute. The framework will enhance the link with markup and classes to style the link as a button.



Text content. Possible to enter static text and translate to different languages if needed. Use the translate button to translate.The label can also be binded to an public attribute from the application class.

Nav. to App

Fast way to link next page by selecting Application ID by entering the name or using F4 search. Used when only navigation from one page to another.


Binded value for the destination link from the application class.

Href Type

Using the Href element binded to the application class, its easy to define hyperlink type as sms, tel, mailto

Key ID

To identify the content of the Key field. Typically used for different pages all ending up to the same page. For separating the values in the Key field, the Key ID represents the content.


Unique ID for the selected element when pressing an hyperlink. When selecting an item in a list of orders, the Key value can be the Order Number. The Key represents the value.


Binds value for attributes to the object. All valid attributes can be binded.

Binds value for styles to the object. All valid styles can be binded.

Format from Application Class:

width: 100px; length: 200px


If the binded value for this field contains a value, the object will not be rendered from the server to the client. The disable function will also disable all child objects.
